Ian specialises in advising on, drafting and negotiating contractual arrangements of all kinds.

He has a wealth of experience of terms and conditions for the sale and purchase of goods and services, manufacturing agreements, agency and distributorship arrangements, franchising, consumer credit, sales promotion and advertising and research and development agreements.

Although his clients are drawn from many different fields, Ian has particular expertise in the food, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, sport, retailing and financial services sectors. Ian also specialises in computer & IT law, including software licensing and development and technology licensing.

A graduate of Downing College, Cambridge and a solicitor since 1985, Ian joined Geldards in late 2005 after a career spent in-house with British Coal, Nestle, Boots and most recently Focus Wickes, where he headed the legal team. He is a former Chairman of the Law Society’s Commerce and Industry Group.
